FOOD PANTRY
The Ecumenical Food Pantry is located on the lower level of the Second Congregational Church (51 Main Street, Newcastle – see map below) from 9:30 to 11:00 every Tuesday morning. The pantry serves residents of the towns of Damariscotta, Newcastle and Nobleboro.
The pantry was started in 1989 as a volunteer operation and it still remains manned totally by volunteers. There are as many as 25 people assisting visitors on any Tuesday, and there is always room for more. Several of the volunteers are over 80 years old!
