PNG Independence Celebration Meal!
PNG celebrated 46 years of independence on September 16th. In celebration of this special day our office staff got together for a traditional meal. This photo shows Deb getting her share of the tasty food. The meal consisted of chicken, potatoes, sweet potatoes, broccoli and various greens cooked “aigir” style. Basically stones are heated in a fire until very hot, they are then dropped right into the waiting pot of food which has plenty of liquid in it, including coconut milk. The hot stones cook the contents of the pot and after some time it is ready to go, delicious!
