HOW CAN YOU HELP? DIVORCECARE
October 2019 Update
We do not have a session running currently. The 13-week sessions are always open for new visitors – each week has a new topic to discuss. Please contact MaryAnn (by using the contact form below) for more information on the next offering of this ministry.
DivorceCare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. Don’t go through separation or divorce alone.
DivorceCare seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable DivorceCare resources to help you deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life.
There are thousands of DivorceCare recovery support groups meeting throughout the US, Canada and in other countries around the world. And now there’s one meeting near you – at Damariscotta Baptist Church!
We always welcome helping hands – you can help with snacks, train to be a leader, assist a leader or be a prayer partner.
Here’s what to expect:
Christ-centered video instruction – Participants meet for 13 weekly sessions. During a typical meeting, they view a 30 minute video. Each one features Christian divorce-recovery experts and the stories of people who’ve healed from separation or divorce.
Group discussion – After the video, participants discuss what they’ve seen. They also share the challenges they’re facing and the victories they’re experiencing.
Personal workbook study – Each DC participant also receives a workbook. Its daily Bible study helps them discover what God says about their situation. During group discussion, participants are encouraged to share what they’re learning from their Bible study.
