For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith
—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God
— not by works, so that no one can boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9

We’re so glad that you have stopped by! Our church family is made up of individuals from all walks of life who come together to seek hope, purpose, and community. It’s a place where questions are welcomed, faith is nurtured, and lives are changed through the love of Christ. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, there’s a place for you here.
Our mission is to worship God, grow together in faith, and share His love with the world. Each week, we gather to celebrate His goodness and reflect on how we can live out His teachings in our daily lives. Whether you’re a lifelong believer or just beginning to explore your faith, you’ll find a welcoming and supportive community here.
We believe in the power of prayer and the transforming love of Christ, and we strive to create an environment where everyone feels valued and loved.
Start Your Day Off Right!

What's Happening?
Genesis
3-11, is a diverse group of stories, but they’re all exploring the same basic point—God keeps giving humans the chance to do the right thing with his world, and they keep ruining it instead. These stories are claiming that we live in a good world gone bad. We’ve all chosen to define good and evil for ourselves and have contributed to a world of broken relationships, conflict, violence, and ultimately death.
But there is still hope. God promised that one day a descendant would come, the wounded victor who will defeat evil at its source. Despite humanity’s evil, God is determined to bless and rescue his world. The big question is: What is God going to do? - Tim Mackie, “The Bible Project”

Light and Salt
You are the salt of the earth.
But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor?
Can you make it salty again?
It will be thrown out
and trampled underfoot as worthless.
You are the light of the world—
like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.
Matthew 5:13-14
We want to thank you for your prayers. These past few days have been a great blessing for each of the attendees at this teen camp (ages 12-17), titled "Light and Salt 2025." A total of 115 participants.
Many of them accepted Jesus into their hearts, others confirmed their faith and commitment to be salt and shine in this world, showing the light of Christ in their lives, some teenagers who arrived with a broken heart were restored by the Word of God.
Karol Clark and Sara Shannon will be traveling to Peru starting on Sunday, August 3. This short-term mission trip will consist of two parts. First, they will fly to Cusco, Peru in the Andes Mountains where they will be attending a women’s conference for the indigenous Quechua, direct descendants of the Incas. Sara will be speaking and
sharing God‘s word on a number of topics relevant to these women. Karol will be assisting with her ability to speak Spanish. On the second half of the trip, they will fly to Huanuco, Peru where they will meet up with Toby Shannon to participate, in whatever capacity, with their ministry of disabled people. This will be a costly trip, so if you feel the Lord leading you to contribute it would be greatly appreciated. You can make your donation out to: “Damariscotta Baptist Church” and write “Missions Trip: Karol & Sara” in the memo.
Thank you and God bless.

6/23 was the last day of 10:00 AM Children’s Sunday School. We will pick it up again in September. Children’s Church will continue, following the Children’s message. Children are welcome to go downstairs to the nursery where they will have a short Bible lesson and have fun.
Beginning in September, Children’s Church Leaders are needed. Please pray and ask God if He can use you to hang out with the children of our church during the worship service. Everything you need will be provided, even patience (God offers that for free). It involves going with the children downstairs after the children’s moment and working through some worksheets, managing their snack and playing with them until worship is over. You could volunteer once a month, once a year or whenever your schedule allows. Please talk with Marilee if you are
interested.
There will be no Bible Study during July & August.
