HE IS RISEN!
HE IS RISEN, INDEED!
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith —and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
God is our merciful Father
and the source of all comfort.
He comforts us in all our troubles
so that we can comfort others.
When they are troubled,
we will be able to give
them the same comfort God has given us.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Heaven and Earth, in one place. That statement is worth pondering. Jonathan Parnell provides some insight in his article, “Where is Heaven on Earth” on the website, Desiring God. Here is an excerpt -
“After his resurrection, Jesus ascended and took his seat on the heavenly throne. Right now, those who are united to Jesus by faith are spiritually raised and seated with him (Ephesians 2:6). Spiritually speaking, because of our union with Jesus, we inhabit the dimension of reality in which he reigns. We are, in that sense, in heaven with him. And at the same time, we are here. We are breathing the air of this world, listening to the music of this culture, eating the food of this place. So he has sent us his Spirit. The Holy Spirit is for the church Jesus’s own empowering presence. In a very real sense, we are there with him in heaven, and in a very real sense, he is here with us on earth.”

On behalf of the Town of Damariscotta, we'd like to invite you to attend a public meeting about our Main Street PPI project!
Damariscotta is about to embark on a Planning Partnership Initiative (PPI) project with DOT along the Main Street/Route 1B corridor, from Bristol Road up to Route 1 near N.C. Hunt. This is an exciting opportunity to reimagine what an improved Main Street corridor could look like in 3-4 years, and we want to hear your ideas and priorities!
At the meeting, you’ll have a chance to learn more about the project, discuss your desires with the community members and Town staff, and give valuable input about the future of Main Street. There will be 2 identical meetings, held on April 9 and April 14, from 4:30-6:30pm at the GSB School cafeteria.
Can't make the meetings? Fill out this short survey instead!
Please share this information with your family, friends, and network, and feel free to reach
out to: communitydevelopment@damariscotta.maine.gov with any questions.
