For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith —and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.

PASTOR'S PONDERING

ADVENT: Advent is a call to followers of Christ to remember

the birth of the Savior. The word advent stems from a Latin word that means “coming” or “arrival.” Over many centuries, God prepared the hearts of the Jews for Christ’s coming, just as He is now working in our hearts to prepare us for Christ’s second coming.

The Second Purple Candle:  Symbolizes preparation and represents Israel’s preparation for the Christ child and our preparation for the second coming of Jesus. The Jewish people prepared their hearts for the Savior, and we prepare our hearts for His second coming.

Joyfully,

Marilee :)

A MESSAGE FROM THE GARCIAS

Dear friends and family in the faith,

Over these past months, we’ve been focusing our efforts on guiding families to the feet of Christ. As they walk this journey, they’ve begun putting their lives in order, taking the step of baptism, and now setting their homes in order, expressing their desire to live as families who honor the Lord. With that in mind, we are encouraging them to make their marriage vows.

Please pray for us. This December 8th, we will be ministering in a beautiful wedding ceremony where five couples, before the Lord and their witnesses, will

declare their desire to honor Him in everything they do together as a family.

Likewise, on December 20th we will have a special program for people with disabilities, called “True Christmas.” We are making preparations and visiting

them in their homes to personally invite them.

We truly appreciate your prayers, that the Word of the Lord may be shared freely and that these dear people may come to know Jesus, the true meaning of Christmas.

In Christ,

Juan Pablo & Marianela García.
