For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith —and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9
Our Mission is to follow through
on Jesus' instructions to His disciples...
He said to them,
“Go into all the world
and preach the gospel to all creation.”

Reckless words pierce like a sword,
but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

This year's Bible in a year plan presents the Old Testament in chronological order, along with a Psalm or Proverb and a New Testament reading. It is based on 5 daily readings with 2 days for catching up!

Exodus 32-34; Philippians 3
Exodus 35-37; Psalm 26; Philippians 4
Exodus 38-40; Hebrews 1
Leviticus 1-3; Psalm 27; Hebrews 2
Leviticus 4-7; Hebrews 3
The Easter season begins this Wednesday, February 18th. That means only 46 days until Easter! 40 days for Lent, because Sundays are not counted. Spring is coming! I found a website that has Daily Devotions through the lenten season, reading the Psalms. I encourage you to use this resource or find one of your own as we prepare to celebrate the resurrection. These devotions that reflect on the Psalms were written by Reformed Church of America chaplains. Each entry in this Lent devotional series includes:
A Psalm to read and a featured excerpt from the Psalm.
A personal devotion that reflects on the Psalm.
A prayer that reflects the theme of the devotion.

Starting January 4th, we will be worshipping downstairs where it will be warmer and cozier! Remember...the first Sunday of each month will include a fellowship meal after the service. If you are able, we would love to have you bring something to share.
The benefit this weekend at St. Patrick’s Church generated over $8,100 for CHIP and the Ecumenical Council for Homeless Prevention.
Thanks to all who participated.
DBC has agreed to support mothers in Ethiopia, Burkina Faso and Togo through their pregnancy and their baby’s first year of life at $35/month. We are hoping seven of us will donate $60 to cover the cost. See flyer for information.
